Foo Fighters Set List Surprise Gig in Santa Barbra

This is a set list....
Foo Fighters Santa Barbara Set List 2011

To celebrate the wrapping up of the recording of their new album, the Foo Fighters spring a surprise show for the fans who managed to snap up tickets in Santa Barbra.

Dave Grohl announced via twitter that same night (28 Jan) the Foos would be playing a one off gig at Santa Barbara club Velvet Jones, limiting everyone to one ticket cash only purchases.

The set list consisted of a complete run through of the as yet untitled album and some classics as well, no doubt a real treat for those who could get in!

Incidentally, the new album was produced by Butch Vig - for those under 20 years old, he was the guy who produced Nirvana's Nevermind and thus is a huge element in us having the Foo Fighters as a band in the first place!

Rounding off the Nirvana reunion, Pat Smear played with the Foos as well.

Primal Scream Set List Big Day Out 2011

A few years ago this screamadelic band made it to the Australian Big Day Out series of concerts some years ago (Summer of 2000? either way it was when the RHCP turned up and kicked ass!) - in 2011 Bobby and the crew have finally made it to Auckland BDO - Country Girl Take Me Home!

Meat Loaf Set List Dublin, Ireland 2010

I'd lie for you....
Meat Loaf Set List Dublin, Ireland

Meat Loaf played the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland on December 19 2010.

The set featured four songs from the lastest Meat Loaf album, Hang Cool Teddy Bear, which for me was a pretty solid effort, better than Bat Out of Hell III for sure (that album had some good songs, it just wasn't a 'cohesive selection' as Hang Cool).

Of note, the set list began with the classic Hot Patootie from Rocky Horror Picture Show and third song in was the famous Bat Out Of Hell - Meat Loaf commented on the song being in the set so early, " “If you ever play in a band and decide to play Bat Out Of Hell and decide to play it as your third song then let me tell you, it will make you feel fucking 63 years old. Fuck”

Dublin Set List:

Hot Patootie (Bless My Soul)
If It Ain’t Broke, Break It
Bat Out Of Hell
Peace On Earth
Living On The Outside
Los Angeloser (lyrics)
You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth
Song Of Madness
Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through
I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)
Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad
Paradise By The Dashboard Light
All Revved Up With No Place To Go

Extra for Experts: I think Meat Loaf should do a duet with Lady Gaga - what do you think?

Born this Way release dates announced

While U2 once sang that nothing changes on New Year's day, we did get to ring in the year with a new picture of Lady Gaga's ass which she kindly twittered across the universe:

Lady Gaga's Ass
The immediately infamous buttock shot was used as a promo opportunity to announce the dates of Lady Gaga's new album, Born This Way. The date for the single Born This Way (lyrics) release is 13 February while the Born This Way album is due for release on the 23rd of the same month.

The nude behind picture was photographed by well known British fashion photographer, Mr Nick Knight, who has previously worked with the crazy pixie Björk and Antony Hegarty. Gaga is not known for being shy with her body, check out Gaga's infamous meat bikini or when she got her kit out at Lollapalooza

The image Gaga released may, or may not be, the album cover. Time will tell. Meanwhile, enjoy the lyrics to You and I.  If that doesn't grab you, check out the time Lady Gaga appeared in the Sopranos TV show!

If you're still not entertained, maybe you could ponder why sex sells. Gaga has totally capitalised on this principle!
